Using Customized Water Bottles as Promotional Tools

Businesses are always on the lookout for the hottest new promotional items to give away to new customers and prospects, but many of them are overlooking one of the simplest, most effective promotional giveaway items there is: the customized water bottle. Sure, everyone knows water bottles are simple – but how do we know they’re effective? Because market research tells us so.

In 2013, the American Marketing Association conducted a survey that revealed how much consumers appreciate receiving a drinkware item from a business as a promotional tool. Believe it or not, drinkware actually took 19% of the market share for the most effective promotional product tools.
That means it beat out more “traditional” promotional items like baseball caps, pens, magnets and trinkets.

The only promotional item that beat out drinkware was the t-shirt – but let’s face it, everyone knows the t-shirt is hard to beat (even though most people won’t even wear a t-shirt they receive from a business). At least water bottles are consumable! Take note: This survey was not conducted among marketers. Instead, it was sent out to real consumers who receive promotional products from businesses – the exact audience your business needs to reach.

Are customized water bottles considered drinkware? You bet they are, and they are far more practical and cost-effective drinkware items to hand to clients and prospects. After all, most businesses don’t have the budget to have a high end coffee mug printed up for every person who walks in their door. But a customized water bottle?
